Day 20 - Sunday

We got up early this morning and headed out the door to get to a guided tour of downtown Bogota. On our way we came across another Catholic parade. We are beginning to think that this must be a Sunday tradition...
After standing around and barely being able to hear the guide (there must have been over 100 people there), who was speaking in Spanish, Uncle and Auntie decided to leave the tour and explore town a little by ourselves. We stopped at Plaza Simon Bolivar and fed the pigeons. J even caught one that was being a little too inquisitive. We then headed down to the artisian market before heading home. In the evening, N&J and Auntie and Uncle headed down to the street corner to watch a work crew move a huge tree so it could be replanted. Apparently the owners of the property decided the tree would look better a couple of feet west of where it was originally planted.

  1. WHAT?!!? Street painters! they're awesome! lol
My old (crazy) prof used to get mad at us when he would do demos and we would just silently watch without asking questions (you couldn't help it, the man had SKILLS). "Don't get entertained!!! Ask questions!!", He'd always yell. hahaha

  2. Aren't they cool?! The street painters are lots of fun to watch! Especially how they paint. They use all sorts of odds and ends to make their designs. Oh my... your professor sounds hilarious!
