Day 16

Today we were told that we couldn't go downtown as some indigenous people are protesting so we hung around home in the morning and R studied. In the afternoon we headed out to the mall to see what Colombian malls are like. The conclusion: very similar to malls in the US --just more expensive :P
Afterwards we stopped at a corner shop and R&J got ice cream N and Auntie got mango smoothies.
.:.The Mall.:.

.:.Window Washers.:.

.:.In the mall. Would you believe that eagle is stuffed?.:.

.:.Yum! Raspberry/Vanilla and Strawberry/Vanilla ice cream.:.

.:.Mango Smoothie.:.

.:.On our way home - Apparently this taxi broke down and rather than moving it to the side of the road he just decided to stay put.:.

  2. Looks like a big mall. Was it as big as MOA? More expensive than the malls in the US? I thought they'd be cheaper!

  3. I thought they'd be cheaper, also! And that's a neat way to wash windows!

  5. B ~ The mall was nowhere as big as MOA. It had 4 floors but a lot of the stores were tiny!

Yep, the malls were more expensive. Apparently people go the US and say it is cheaper shopping in the high end stores there.

Mr. Dockham ~ The name of the mall is the Andino Mall here in Bogota. It very well could be the same one. My aunt said that it is one of the most used malls here.
