Check-in was complete, goodbyes were said, shoes were taken off for security, and the plane was boarded--but not before one last American Jamba Juice.
The flight itself was rather uneventful and quite a bore, except for one thing... ;)
(no, not this. this is the lights of colombia) ;)
Once outside the airport in Colombia, a whole new world greeted them. Horns beeping, pedestrians everywhere, and people gibbering in what was supposedly Spanish, but spoken too fast for the three to comprehend.
Stepping into the penthouse--home for the next 6 weeks--they were amazed....
Fact: A dozen roses cost $4 in Colombia.
Aw! Thanks for starting a blog so I can see what's going on in Columbia! :) I hope you guys have a great time there and by the time you get back, I expect to hear you all jibber in Spanish together! LOL!

So living next to Mexico all those years did not train you to understand Colombian Spanish? I bet you will be much more comfortable with it by the time you come back (plural you). Glad you arived there safely. Glad you started a blog. May God bless you and protect you in all your adventures.
